Telefónica organizes the V Conference of the Data Transparency Lab
Telefónica will host the fifth edition of the DTL 2018 Conference at its headquarters in Barcelona, created and promoted by the company to investigate the field of transparency regarding the use of data in the digital environment. Solutions to the big data challenge at the UN World Data Forum
The last UN World Data Forum held in Dubai highlighted the challenges of Big Data, emphasizing the need for greater education on the benefits that big data brings to society. Among the speakers, Pedro A. de Alarcón, Director of the Big Data for Social Good area of LUCA, showed the private sectors´ desire and need for better integration with the public sector regarding data issues: calling upon the national offices of statistics to define the methodology and standards by which the private sector should collect data to ensure that it is useful and beneficial to all.
