Telefónica presents its “megas in exchange for receiving advertising” plan

Telefónica presents its Movistar Ads division with which it seeks to be more efficient in advertising stimuli thanks to the potential offered by big data and artificial intelligence, with a worldwide growth of 20% this year. “For the Movistar client to see advertising tailored to their interests, we need their consent, this service allows us to see the good side of advertising, because it gives you something in return,” explains Elena Gil, CEO of LUCA.

Chema Alonso stressed the importance of companies knowing what data they can use, safeguarding the privacy of people “Customer data is sacred”. Chema Alonso explained that the data generated can be personal and / or anonymous or generic. Companies expect to triple their big data staff in the next three years

This was one of the main conclusions of the recent “Adoption and Impact of Big Data and Advanced Analytics in Spain” study. Researchers interviewed individuals from 106 Spanish companies to develop the report, which was presented at the 2018 Data + Decisions conference at ESADE. The conference featured speakers from leading businesses in the Big Data sector, including Richard Benjamins, Data and AI Ambassador at Telefonica.
