Elaboration of the MOOC "Big Data without mysteries".
Online course for beginners in the world of Data Science

We supported IDB in the launch of their Big Data MOOC in Spanish, pioneering because of its characteristics, which explains the basics of Big Data. All with the aim of making Big Data and AI technologies accessible to the general public.
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is an organization that provides financial and technical support to development projects, operating primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its main objective is to achieve development in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way, through the promotion of social and economic integration, equality and innovation.
Within the context of the Partnership between Telefónica and the IDB which focuses on the promotion of Data Culture and Big Data technologies in Latin America and the Caribbean, Telefónica and the IDB have decided to launch a Big Data MOOC in Spanish. It's considered to be a pioneering initiative due to its size, format and language, which will highlight to the general public, the value and fundamentals of Big Data.
This project consists of the design, scriptwriting and production of high-quality online content about Big Data, which will be included on the edX online educational platform. The content has been organized into 6 online modules that cover business skills, Big Data projects, data science, technology and data visualization.
Make Big Data and Artificial Knowledge Accessible
At present, the advanced data analysis techniques offered by Big Data are not being fully exploited in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean in the processes of design, monitoring or the evaluation of public policy because of the limitations in the area at an institutional level. In this regard, there is a need to demonstrate the acceleration opportunities offered by Big Data in terms of growth and competitiveness for the private sector, and efficiency for the public sector.
We successfully helped IDB in the launch of their MOOC

We were able to successfully assist IDB in their implementation of the MOOC and the project has been well received, even before its launch, with more than 12,000 students registered the week before its launch date.

We have successfully enrolled almost 17,000 students in 17 countries are taking the course, with a special interest from young students (between 25 and 40 years old).
